Shall I write another verse?
Shall I dare to say...
You look at me like a flower bent
O’er the water-bed,
Where lilies float and swans recline,
Where everything is blue
Like a sparkling drop from the heavens sent
Just for you.
Shall I speak like a poet speaks
To his beloved, divine?
Shall I dare to take that pretty hand,
Right into mine?
Of all the things that you say to me,
Of all the love that you give,
I have but one thing to give back to you
Your own eternal Bliss.
